The pulse manufacturing is one of oldest traditional activities of the country. 


It was a linkage between the Agriculture and industry as employment awareness to the rural inhabitants. 


Pulses are the major sources of dietary protein in the vegetarian diet in our country. Besides being a rich source of protein, they maintain soil fertility through bio-logical nitrogen fixation in soil and thus playing a vital role in furthering sustainable agriculture. Moreover, pulses have got a wide scope for generating more and more employment opportunities in the pulses production area. 

Interventions

Introducing a new variety black gram (sharada) pulses

Conducting awareness at the village level especially with the farmers and SHG mothers in regards to beneficial aspects of pulses.


Training Master Farmers in regard of Pulse Production

Formation and capacity building of Farmers Club

Facilitating information dissemination to the agriculture community to access improved technologies, and strong market linkages
